Re-imagining Africa: Creative Crossings
ed. by Simon Gikandi and Jane Wilkinson
Words, sounds, images and movements interlace in the reflections of our authors as they reconfigure the Africas of the present, complicating and contrasting the visions of a stereotypical, suffering continent offered by the media and the Africanism of European discourse. Together with articles, interviews and a "fictionalized essay", the issue includes poems and stories, dialogues between photographic images and creative works and examples of the "other African stories", image-texts and poems that circulate on the internet.
