Neelam Srivastava (Dphil, Oxon) is Lecturer in Postcolonial Literature at Newcastle University, UK. She is the author of Secularism in the Postcolonial Indian Novel: National and Cosmopolitan Narratives in English (2007), and has published articles on postcolonial Indian writing, the film director Gillo Pontecorvo, and on Italian colonialism.
